automata

As part of the ME101 curriculum at Stanford, students are divided into teams to create an "automata," or a simple machine with moving parts, to depict a theme or story. For this project, I was on a team with three other students.
The entire automata was fabricated from cut paper and card stock.

Given the way in which an automata functions, it is impossible to work on the components in isolation. Although I primarily focused on designing and crafting the visual elements, each piece to the automata was ultimately touched in some way by every member of the team.
